Who is CJ Tate?
Born and raised in the musical crossroads of Memphis, TN, CJ Tate has been creating music since age 5. With a number of his family members pursuing a career in Gospel music, CJ found his world revolving around singing and playing live for an audience at an early age. After years of performing as a drummer, Tate found himself writing and recording songs that featured his own distinctive blend of R&B and modern pop. Blessed with an unwavering confidence and the assistance of mentors like Troy Taylor (Mentor of Trey Songz "Songbook Ent") and The Memphis Music Foundation, CJ digitally released his first single, "Send Her On To Me," earlier this year via iTunes, Amazon.com, Bandcamp.com, Rhapsody.com , and has already seen over 50,000 plus copies sold.
